A severe hernia dissappears at healing conference
Annie tells her story:
“Since the beginning of this year my leg was hurting regularly. I thought it had to do with the menopause I’m in… and I adjusted. I tried to spread the household tasks and not to do everything in one day. It didn’t work, on the contrary … the pain got worse and daily chores became increasingly difficult.
By the beginning of February I often needed a break and take time to rest. And I mean lay down in bed for several hours. It were times I spent with my Heavenly Papa through prayer and Bible reading… However I couldn’t continue this way and decided to consult the doctor. Pictures were taken and I received high doses painkillers. My condition deteriorated so much I cried out in pain and
couldn’t move anymore. My husband and our son had to do everything around the house. I couldn’t even wash myself anymore. The least little movement was already too much … I had to stay in my bedroom, I couldn’t even go to the toilet anymore.
All this time people were praying for me in our church.
The doctor came and he sent me in an ambulance to ER. A CT-scan and some other examinations revealed a slipped disc (spinal disc herniation) between the last vertebra and the tailbone. My thigh and my foot were numb. According to the doctor it could take up to a year to completely recover, however some numbness would remain.
In the mean time our church planned a healing conference and I thought “I have to be there!” I registered and was looking forward to it!
I had to lay down the entire first session notwithstanding the strong medication I was taking every three hours. I was still having a lot of pain and I didn’t sleep at all the first night. The second morning at breakfast Ann came up to me and asked how I was doing. I told her the whole story and she suggested to pray right away. She laid hands on me together with Dora, my friend and roommate, and we prayed in unity.
I told God: “I didn’t come to lay on my back for three days but to receive healing and to return home completely healed. You are a God of miracles and I know it is Your will that I recover.” There was dancing during the worship and I decided –pain or no pain- to join in. Afterwards I sat down and felt immediately I could do it. I sat the entire morning for the first time in a long, long time! I enjoyed it tremendously!
We were taught to speak healing verses out loud, to name the symptoms and to send them away in Jesus’ Name, and I actively did this. I started feeling better and better! That night I slept without pain for the first time in a long while.
Coming home my husband and my son looked at me in amazement… “What has happened?” With much joy in my heart I could tell them God intervened in a miraculous way!
But I had one more question on my mind: what about the medication, shall I slowly decrease it or shall I stop it right now? I asked God and immediately it flashed through my mind: ‘Do you trust Me or not?” Yes, Lord, I trust you! I stopped the medication at once, I had been taking 9 pills a day! The pain stays away and I can again function normally!
The Lord has healed me and I am very grateful. Should symptoms show up again, I will command them to disappear in Jesus’ Name! I want to keep this healing!!!
I also thank our fantastic team that has marvelously taken care of me and with the healing conference they gave an opportunity to come closer to our God and they taught me how to correctly deal with divine healing!
